    This paper quite convincingly shows that the induced gamma band response recorded from scalp-EEG is an artifact of microscaades. I highly recommend this paper to everybody who has read, cited, or published (!) any papers reporting gamma band response using scalp-EEG. This paper is likely to be a must read in this research domain in the near future. The paper is very clearly written. I also recommend to read Pascal Fries' commentary in the same issue ("Finding Gamma" Pascal Fries,1,2,∗ René Scheeringa,1 and Robert Oostenveld1) and the replies from the people who published many papers reporting gamma band response with scalp-EEG (http://www.neuron.org/content/article/comments?uid=PIIS0896627308003012).

    I found a bug in search function in j-fire.

    For example, when you type
    "Adolphs[au] & Tsuchiya[au]" or "adolphs & tsuchiya", it pulls all the papers that I'm not in the author list.
    There should be only 2 papers (2nd and 3rd entry).

    What kind of search algorithm j-fire is using?

    As a request, can we search the paper using 'google scholar' like feature? I like google scholar because it can search not only journal papers but also chapters in edited books or books themselves. The one I particularly wanted to input to j-fire is Nowak & Bullier 1997 Cerebral Cortex (book), which cannot be searched with the current feature.

    I admit the search definitely needs improvement. Currently the AND operator is inserted between each term by default so there is no need for the "&", and in fact it seems like the "&" is causing the bug. Right now other operators such as NOT and OR are not functional. With regards to searching for books, we are planning on adding support to search additional databases as well as the ability to enter in your own citation information.     using (express) saccades as a response modality, this paper shows that humans can categorize previously unseen natural scene pictures as those that contain an animal or not, starting at 120 msec.

    detailed image statistics are given in the paper. this is very compelling.

    given 25 msec for preparing a saccade, how the visual system can do such a feat?

    It seems the computation in IT areas is not necessary for this task (!).

    Arguably, this is the strongest evidence that supports a power of feedforward-only processing in vision.

    I'm planning to present three interesting papers from recent issues of Nature and Science.

    1. Deep stimulation to thalamus to awaken an unconscious patient
    2. Experimental induction of out-of-body experiences.
